Video Editing
I love to communicate ideas through storytelling and motion image. I'm especially interested in independent short film culture. I did a lot of video editing and used to write and direct.
Content Creation | Social Media
Project: Content Creation, Youtube, Social Media
Date: 2020-22
Industry: Travels, Tourism
I used to film, edit and publish a lot of video content about travels, self-development and creative mindset on social media channels. Therefore, I'm familiar with adding motion and dynamics to any footage with the objective of telling a compelling story.
Through the video production work I gained a lot of experience in visual narration, editing, color-grading, thumbnail creation, and adaptation of the source material for various (social) media formats.
The Rascal - Short Film Trailer
Project: Independent Short Film
Genre: Drama, Fashion
Date: 2017
Role: Writer, Director, Editor
Here's the trailer of my last short film The Rascal which I wrote, directed and edited. The story revolves around a young hustler and visualises the hero’s compelling transition from egoistic presumption to the humble realisation that he’s a slave to his own habits.
The fashion-inspired film uses inventive outfits to make the abstract ideas in hero's mind tangible. I wrote the script, assembled the film crew and provided the first edit of the film. We completed the project in 3 months and had a private viewing in a small cinema bar in London. It was an amazing experience that will stay with me forever.
University of Westminster Promo Clip
Project: Corporate Video
Industry: Education
Role: Editing, Motion Graphic
This is a promotional video for the School of Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Westminster in London. I filmed and edited the clip and also created the motion graphics. It's a generic corporate clip meant to encourage potential students to register with one of the courses that the university campus offers.
The Quartz - Short Film
Project: Independent Short Film
Genre: Comedy
Date: 2016
Role: Writer, Director, Editor
I wrote and edited this lighthearted comedy short film. The themes such as cellphone obsession, stereotypes and pseudoscience provided a suitable background for the funny interactions between the main characters playing cards at the table. The story is a lighthearted take on a small circle of friends and was shot in the kitchen in a Victorian house in the south of London.
I used to take acting classes and together with a friend from that course we assembled a small film crew and organised this one-day shoot. As you can see I make movies and video projects not just for clients, but because I love it.
Bitter Laurels - Short Film
Project: Independent Short Film
Genre: Drama, Sport
Date: 2014
Role: Writer, Director, Editor
I wrote, filmed and edited this British short film about two athlete friends, their brotherly relationship with each other and the resulting conflict in the course of this story of dreams and fears, the rise and fall in the competitive world of sports. At that time I was inspired by the British athletics and used that fascination to create a simple, concise and compelling story.
The original concept was way bigger that what was achievable with the limited resources I had at that time, so I cut down on certain scenes while still making it a coherent narrative.
